2007 Dodge Ram

The 2007 Dodge RAM retains much of the same great style and support provided by previous generation RAM’s and along with the 2006 model year, offers the newly designed 5.7L HEMI V-8 in certain models that features the Multi-Displacement Technology.

MDS Technology allows the driver to switch off half of the available cylinders to improve fuel economy drastically in city and highway driving under light-load situations. Testing has unveiled that the 2007 Dodge RAM 4.7L HEMI V-8 with Multi-Displacement Technology is capable of improving fuel economy up to 3MPG in the city and 4MPG on the highway.

The power rating for the MDS-enabled engine remains the same at 345HP and 375FTLB of torque mated with an automatic transmission and routes power to either the rear-wheels or all-four-wheels at the driver’s discretion.
